Gary Altheim is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist\u00a0who has extensive experience in working therapeutically with emotionally challenged children, adolescents, families, and adults.\u00a0 Dr. Gary (as some call him) has experience working a wide range of clinical experience; from some of the toughest neighborhoods in NYC to some of the wealthiest neighborhoods in Upper Westchester and Long Island.<\/h4>\n

Dr. Gary says it\u2019s all about empowering ourselves and each other to maximize and Reach our Potential. His Clinical practice and Wellness programs are holistic and based out of his Zen-like office in Upper Westchester. Biography<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

Gary Altheim is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and the Executive Director\/Founder of Growth and Development Services Inc. (GDS). Dr. Altheim has extensive experience in working therapeutically with emotionally challenged children, adolescents, families and adults.<\/p>\n

Dr. Altheim trains teachers, mental health professionals, social workers and youth workers by providing them with the tools they need to work successfully with their clients.<\/p>\n

Dr. Gary (as some call him) has experience working clinically in some of the toughest neighborhoods in NYC to some of the wealthiest neighborhoods in Westchester. Dr. Gary says it’s all about reaching your potential and the Fate of One is the Fate of All.<\/span><\/p>\n

The model he and his team have developed is called The Reach Your Potential Model.<\/b><\/i> It has proven success in transforming lives\u00a0In addition, Altheim provides leadership development, motivational speaking and life coaching to individuals and groups looking to transform their lives and Reach their Potential!<\/p>\n

Dr. Altheim was cured of his chronic back pain by Dr. John Sarno and he is very knowledgeable about Tension Myositis Syndrome (TMS). He has written a self-help book regarding this mind-body disorder. Altheiim had disabling TMS and severe pain for more than 20 years before meeting Sarno.<\/span><\/p>\n

Altheim practices Transcendental Meditation (TM) and he and his agancy are advocates to help bring Quiet Time to NYC communities.As a First Responder Dr. Altheim was the leading Psychologists on a team of mental health professionals helping families at the Armory on 33rd street in NYC, during 9\/11.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Altheim is also a photgrapher and poet. His poem entilted, A New Found Me<\/span>, is published in Hills of Light by Collins Publishing.<\/p>\n
